• Nabil was the legal representative for the de facto husband in the first de-facto case to be determined by the Family Court of Australia as it was then known.
• Nabil acted for the wife in the largest lump sum spouse maintenance award made by the Family Court of Australia as it was then known –
Brown and Brown.
• Nabil acted in the leading case for the de facto Husband in the case of Moretto & Casola both at first instance and on appeal – where he argued successfully that in a 17 year de facto case the court should not exercise its discretion and make an adjustive property order against his client, the de facto husband. The decision was confirmed on Appeal and has been one of the most cited cases in relation to whether the court should exercise its discretion and make a property settlement order in favour of a former spouse.
